Reworked

My daughter and I did some collaging this weekend, and I added a little flair to an old painting of mine.  I'm actually quite happy with the way it turned out.  Plus, it has rhinestones.

Quick Studies

I love Mary Cassatt.  Hopefully I'll see her show with Degas at the National Gallery.

Lemon Zest

A new project.  My version of an etching by Siegfried Klapper.  Klapper's is far superior, of course.  The knife appears to be floating in mine.

Landscape Study

A landscape study of a painting by Bill Scott, whose work I adore.  He can do it with paint--I had to turn to tissue paper for assistance.

Window Box

Wow, it's been awhile since my last post.  I've painted a few things here and there, but I particularly like the colors in this one.  I was in a pinkish sort of mood.

I painted over a landscape that I wasn't thrilled with.  I think the result is pretty neat.

World of Ice -- 2 Landscape Studies

Glaciers, painted from an advertisement promoting travel to Alaska.  I liked the blue.

Pears

My painting teacher wanted me to try something a little different.  And here are the results.  Lily likes the pink.  I am undecided.

Portrait

This reminds me of the Victorian photographs that were often taken in front of romantic/scenic backdrops.

Experiment

I wove two magazine pages together for this collage, inspired by the work of another artist whose name escapes me right now. I will add it later.  This is the back:

I think the back turned out much better, probably because I wasn't trying.
